The 7-Day Watermelon Challenge — Or Was It?

Earlier this year, myself and several Bulldog brothers completed a 7-day water fast — nothing but water for seven straight days. By Day 6 I was mostly thinking about a nice steak and some oxtails, but other than that it was simply mind over matter.

This past week one of my Bulldog brothers called and said, “Hey man, I can’t do an all-water fast. Let’s do the 7-Day Watermelon Challenge.” I tried to talk him down to three or five days, but he wasn’t having it.

By Tuesday I hadn’t heard from him, so I reached out. We talked for a minute, then I asked the obvious question: “How you making out?”

Then he casually tells me: “So I ate a chicken sandwich.” Not a salad. Not a piece of fruit. A whole chicken sandwich! Needless to say, the challenge was over. LOL. It ain’t for everybody.

Charlie Brown’s 15th Annual Free Youth Football Camp

Former Bulldog, Washington Redskins standout, 2-time Pro Bowler, and Super Bowl Champion wide receiver Charlie Brown recently hosted his 15th Annual Free Youth Football Camp in Charleston, SC, at his alma mater. Over 100 young athletes participated.

Head Coach Emeritus Willie Jeffries was on hand to address both campers and parents. These Bulldog and NFL legends also returned to mentor the next generation:
