Bulldog Nation, Let’s Keep That Same Energy

Bulldog Nation, football is definitely the reason for us to rally together. And boy, did we do just that.

The atmosphere at Hard Rock Stadium was amazing. Words really can’t capture everything that was happening — from the Fan Fest, to the day parties in the stadium, to Cam Newton walking around generating content, to the suites popping.

And although we talked some junk to them Rattlers, it still was a family reunion type vibe. Man, the positivity that was felt.

The Bulldog Wire and fellow Bulldog Henry “Honey” Graham sponsored a suite, and I can tell you, it was an experience.

Can’t wait for the next game this week against Virginia State. The color for this week is Garnet. Let’s keep that same energy this week. Let’s fill the stadium.

Pass the word. Come out and support. We need everyone’s contributions to keep hope alive.

There is no elephant — it’s a whale.

We’re going to have to up the ante to keep Coach Berry around.

LIFE AFTER SCSU — EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

The Educated Toe: Matthew Young’s Journey

On this episode of The Bulldog Wire’s Life After SCSU, former South Carolina State kicker and team captain Matthew “Matt” Young reflects on his journey from the football field to a successful 30-year career in technology.

Matt shares memories from his 1991–1994 Bulldog career, including the “puppy line,” becoming team captain, the 1994 Heritage Bowl season, pressure kicks against North Carolina A&T, and the influence of legendary Coach Willie Jeffries. He also credits Bulldog greats Robert Porcher and Kendall Mobley for helping guide him as a young player.

After earning his Computer Science degree, Matt transitioned into the professional world and built a three-decade career with DXC Technology. Today, he measures success through family, career, relationships and legacy, proudly watching both of his sons continue the family’s athletic tradition in college baseball.

Through it all, one thing has remained constant: the lifelong bond of Bulldog Nation.

PRAYERS FOR HEALING, STRENGTH & RECOVERY

Wire Community Sends Prayers to Two Loyal Bulldogs

The Bulldog Wire Community is sending heartfelt prayers, love, and encouragement to two of our loyal Bulldogs who are recovering from recent accidents.

Trina Brown Lining was involved in a car accident and is currently recovering. We ask the Bulldog community to continue keeping her in your thoughts and prayers as she heals and regains her strength.

We are also lifting up Lindy “Ben” Jeffcoat, who was injured in a bicycle accident and is currently hospitalized. Please keep Ben, his family, loved ones, and medical team in your prayers during his recovery.

One of the greatest strengths of our Bulldog family is the way we come together—not only to celebrate the good times, but also to support one another during life’s difficult moments.

Trina and Ben, please know that the Bulldog Wire Community is standing with you, praying for you, and wishing you both strength, comfort, and a full recovery.

Stay strong. Keep the faith. Bulldog Nation is with you.

The Power of Broke

Daymond John and Daniel Paisner

Here, the FUBU founder and star of ABC’s Shark Tank shows that, far from being a liability, broke can actually be your greatest competitive advantage as an entrepreneur. Why? Because starting a business from broke forces you to think more creatively. It forces you to use your resources more efficiently. It forces you to connect with your customers more authentically, and market your ideas more imaginatively. It forces you to be true to yourself, stay laser focused on your goals, and come up with those innovative solutions required to make a meaningful mark.
